Featured Projects
Throughout my years in both Korean Cultural Club Events Committee and The Sandbox Advocates, I was exposed to many opportunities to lead different teams in various events. Event management has truly honed my critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability, communication, leadership and public speaking skills.
EMO_OUT
Lead Organiser
As the flagship event of my self-initiated mental wellness project - Project Y(OUR)S, the EMO_OUT event was a public rage-room-inspired event that aims to redefine the youth's experience with emotional expression. Targeting the root cause of toxic emotional suppression, EMO_OUT aims to present the fun and safe side of emotional expression to let more people understand that "Expressing emotions won't always put you in a state of vulnerability, it can be safe and fun too".
Receiving an exceeding grant amount worth up to $5000 under the National Youth Council's Young Change Maker's grant, on top of the sponsorships from Red Cross Singapore, Health Promotion Board, Ngee Ann Peer Helpers, Mediacorp 8world and others, EMO_OUT has garnered the exceeding support of over 100 participants with limited slots open.
From spearheading this highly controversial and large-scaled event with zero resources and brand establishment, to managing 7 different sponsorships and showcasing our event to the Ministers for Education - Minister Chan Chun Sing and Dr Maliki Osman, I am beyond grateful for this valuable and fulfilling journey of 'growth' and 'social leadership' that further empowered me to inspire a larger community with my
ongoing label 'ETYQ'.
TEDxYouth@NP 2022
Operations / Stage Director
Being a flagship event of The Sandbox, the TEDx event was a large-scale event in partnership with our 5 speakers - Felicia Chin, Ming Wei, Douglas Yeo, Winnie Chan, and Yik Keat. TEDx'22 received the overwhelming support of 400+ registrations with VIP guests such as Lim Kok Kiang, Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Principal.
Applying my live radio broadcast presentation skills acquired from my diploma course on this event, I managed to lead the organisers well in coordinating all stage operations to ensure a smooth flow throughout the event while liaising with the speakers, volunteers and stage crews to tie in everything together.
HeyKaki X NTU Challenge
| BanewnaKaki
Marketing Director
As part of my course's Marketing Publicity module, my team had to curate a social media campaign and Friendship-Challenge event at the Nanyang Technological University with a fixed amount of budget from scratch within 3 months.
It was a huge challenge for us due to the limited resources in terms of time, budget and manpower. We had to manage influencer engagements, NTU liaison, event operations, content creation, NTU CCA's engagements and team disputes amidst other assignments and commitments.
Despite the challenges and trials that arose, we managed to adapt and overcome everything with one another's support along the way. Undoubtedly, this opportunity gave me a greater exposure to what a Marketing Lead has to manage and oversee.
Bonding Events
| The Sandbox Advocates
| Korean Cultural Club
Welfare Director | Main Committee Member (Events)
Handling both the role of Welfare Director in The Sandbox Advocates (TSBA) and the Main Committee member of the Events Department in the Korean Cultural Club (KCC), I was tasked to lead 2 different groups of people in the planning of 5 TSBA Welfare events and 5 KCC Bonding Events in the span of 6 months from July to December.
Through these high-demand leadership roles in event planning, I gained experience in planning Creative Hackathons, Networking Sessions, Camps, Online bonding events and cultural events.
Annual General Meeting
| Korean Cultural Club
Lead Organiser
Transitioning to my role as the incoming President, I took the lead in overseeing the programs aspect of the KCC Annual General Meeting for 2023, while initiating and facilitating most meetings and planning stages.

We were tasked to balance between Committee Handover Ceremony and wrapping up the past year of KCC's activities with our club members where we had to engage with the whole club while facilitating the member's bonding games and executing back-to-back segments of the event.
Annual General Meeting
| The Sandbox Advocates
Welfare Director, AGM Programme Lead
While planning for the CCA Fiesta marketing content, I was also allocated to oversee the programming aspect of the TSBA Annual General Meeting for 2022, under the mentor of my President.
I ideated all the event's activities and led the EXCO team in the execution of all games and activities from Group Leader allocation, to logistics allocation, to crafting of event schedules and the mass briefing.
